C&A HOSPITAL

The C&A Hospital is on the Bisbee Lowell Warren Tour, and the Copper City Territory Tour at Big Jeep Tours

The C&A Hospital was built in 1918 for the workers of the Calumet & Arizona Mining Company. It was built on top of a hill at the end of Hillcrest Street. The street access stairs from below the hill are still there today but they lead to nowhere.

When the C&A Hospital was built, there were no tailings and Dump 7 did not exist.

The hospital closed in 1930 and the building became the Hillcrest Apartments. The Hillcrest Apartments served Bisbee AZ for many years until it closed again in 2019.

The historic building can be seen from many vantage points throughout Warren AZ.
