About the tours
What is Big Jeep Tours?
A private Jeep tour company in Bisbee, Arizona. Every tour is for your group only and guided by Travis Bishop, a 4th-generation Bisbee native. You hear mining history, neighborhood stories, and local context you will not get from a walking loop or a brochure.
Are tours private?
Yes. No mixed groups. The Jeep holds up to four guests plus your guide.
Who is the guide?
Travis Bishop, owner and guide. His family has been in Bisbee since 1913. He leads every tour.
What will we see?
Depends on the route. Common stops and views include Old Bisbee streets and architecture, Lavender Pit and mining overlooks, Lowell’s Erie Street and vintage Americana, Warren Ballpark, and the border area near Naco. Longer tours cover more neighborhoods.
Which tour is best for first-time visitors?
The Old Bisbee Tour (about 2 hours, mild travel). Historic streets, open-pit views, and Lowell - the overview most guests want first.
How many tours do you offer?

How long are the tours?
About 1.5 hours to 4 hours, depending on the route you book.
Is this a mine-shaft or underground tour?
No. These are above-ground Jeep tours of streets, overlooks, neighborhoods, and mining landscapes. For an underground mine experience, book the Copper Queen Mine Tour separately.​​
Booking, prices & policies
How do I book?
Book online. Choose a tour, date, and time; enter guest details and pickup location, then pay. You get instant confirmation.
Can I pay in person?
Yes. Pay online or in person - your choice when you book.
Do kids ride free?
Children under 13 ride free on published tours. Youth and senior rates apply where listed.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes. Flexible cancellation or rescheduling is available. If your plans change, contact Travis as soon as you can. Changes can be made as long as a time slot isn't already booked.
How far in advance should I book?
Tours fill fast on weekends and holidays. Book as soon as you know your dates. Booking cutoff is one hour before the start time.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes. eGift cards are available on the website.
Pickup, meeting point & parking
Do you offer hotel pickup?
Yes. Free Guest-Choice Pickup anywhere inside Bisbee city limits when you arrange it at booking - hotels, inns, Airbnbs, VRBOs, restaurants, shops, and public lots.

Where is the default meeting point?
10 Copper Queen Plaza, Bisbee, AZ 85603, near the Bisbee Mining & Historical Museum and Bisbee’s Table. Use this if you are driving in.
When do you arrive for pickup?
Usually 10–15 minutes before the listed start time.
How do I request pickup?
At checkout, fill in “Where is your pickup location, please?” Use the hotel name, full Airbnb address, or a clear landmark.
Can you pick up outside Bisbee?
No, Free Guest-Choice Pickup is Bisbee city limits only. Meet at 10 Copper Queen Plaza or ask before you book if you are staying in Tombstone, Sierra Vista, or elsewhere.
Is parking available at the meeting point?
There is no dedicated guest lot at the Jeep. Nearby options include the Mile High pay lot (largest, about a 1-minute walk, EV charging), limited free street spots by the museum and Copper Queen Plaza, and the small Naco Road/underpass lot. Weekends fill early.
What about RVs or oversized vehicles?
Do not drive large rigs into Old Bisbee’s narrow canyon streets. Park in Lowell or another oversized area and request pickup there.
The Jeep, safety & comfort
What kind of vehicle is it?
A customized, lifted Jeep with oversized tires, seatbelts, climate control, and easy step-in access (power steps). Capacity is four guests.
Are Jeep tours safe in Bisbee?
Tours use established routes, seatbelts, and careful driving. Mild-travel tours stay on streets and maintained roads. Ask which routes are bumpier if anyone is sensitive to rough ground.
Is it suitable for limited mobility?
Many guests with limited mobility do well because of step-in access and seating. Tell Travis any needs when you book. Some hillside photo stops involve short walks on uneven ground - those can be skipped.
What should we bring?
Comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes (especially on mountain or desert routes), water, camera, sunscreen, and a hat. Snacks are fine. The Jeep is climate-controlled.
Are pets welcome?
Yes. Pets are welcome. Note it at booking so the group and Jeep can be planned accordingly.
What if the weather is bad?
Tours run in heat, wind, and typical monsoon sprinkles. Cancellation is generally only for snow or ice. The Jeep is climate-controlled.
Practical details
What are the operating hours?
Tours run by scheduled time slots, not a walk-up storefront clock. Morning through late afternoon. Check live availability on the booking calendar.
Is there a restroom on the tour?
There is no restroom in the Jeep. There are restrooms nearby for use before pickup. Travis can also stop at any point during the tour.
Can we get out for photos?
Yes, at safe overlooks and street stops. Travis can linger for the shots you care about.
Do you drop us somewhere else after the tour?
Usually back at your pickup point. A different in-town drop-off is always possible; just let Travis know where.
Is this a good add-on to a Tombstone day trip?
Yes. Many guests drive from Tombstone, park in Bisbee, or request pickup if they are staying in town, and take the Old Bisbee or 12 City Tour. Leave extra time for mountain-road driving and downtown parking.
